Bulongwa hospital is located in South Tanzania in Livingstone mountains. Daily busses come from Dar es Salam to Njombe and trains to Makambako. Makambako is at the main Tanzania-Zambia road and Njombe 60 km towards Songea. The road from Njombe to Bulongwa is 140km rough road and sometimes during the rainy season is difficult to pass.
The hospital has a guesthouse with meals for visitors.
